What does SCA membership include?
Membership supports SCA's community programs and gives your family access to the SCA WeChat groups, member pricing at ticketed events such as the Spring Festival Gala, the member newsletter, and a voice in how the association is run.
How much does membership cost?
Family membership is $40 per year. Everyone in the same household is covered. You can pay by card through Stripe or by Zelle.
How do I pay by Zelle?
Send $40 to scarsdalechinese@yahoo.com (Scarsdale Chinese Association, Inc.) from your banking app and put your family name in the memo. Submit the membership form first so we can match your payment to your household.
How do I join the SCA WeChat group?
After you submit the membership form and your payment is received, a board member will add you to the SCA members' WeChat group using the WeChat ID(s) you provided. Please use your real name plus neighborhood as your group nickname.
有关SCA会员资格、微信群的操作和管理 (SCA董事会, 2016)
Scarsdale Chinese Association（简称SCA）创办从当初的20多家会员发展到至今300多家会员，期间凝聚了广大会员齐心协力的"人人为人人"，不仅做到互帮互助，交流沟通，组织各种活动，弘扬中华文化，同时还参与镇里的学校、税收、市政等各项事务的讨论和诉求，协助会员安居乐业，培养主人翁精神，把Scarsdale建成自己的"家"。SCA的壮大，同时也带来了交流和管理的挑战。我们从2015年把交流平台的重心转移到微信"SCA华人协会"群。微信群有快捷、简便的优势，但同时也有松散、储存等的缺陷。鉴于我们是有组织有地域限制的团体，还有许多活动需要大家线上和线下的交流，我们董事会集体讨论后，现就SCA会员资格、微信、yahoogroup的操作和管理规则向大家宣布，请大家了解并遵守。
为什么"SCA华人协会"群里的人名用实名+居住区的形式？
SCA是一个有组织、有地域限制的团体。实名加居住区能让会员之间互相认识、方便线下活动的组织，也有助于保持群内交流的信任与安全。
